Sailing is powerful

The goal is to implement an inclusive sailing project for people with cancer.
Thanks to sailing within a regatta team, new ways of coping with the disease will be explored. We are convinced that sailing offers great potential in cancer therapy. Through joint activities with relatives, the social environment can also be integrated. In sailing on a regatta boat, team spirit and cohesion are paramount. Endurance, situational responsiveness and the ability to concentrate are trained. These skills are equally important in coping with cancer.

We participate

The project "Bat Sailing Team" serves as inspiration. The crew, consisting of three people with visual impairments and two sighted people, has been regularly sailing regattas since 2021.
The J/70 is a sporty regatta boat. It is sailed in the German Sailing League and in the Sailing Champions League.

YOGA

The sailing training is supported by a regenerative Yoga course. This is intended to ensure a constant team building, if participants are not able to muster the necessary fitness for sailing during certain phases.
The regenerative yoga will again take place every Wednesday in the Grindelviertel from October 2023 and can be used independently of the participation in sailing courses.
